Keeshonden is located just outside of Nanton, Alberta. The dogs love their ½ acre fenced yard. I have had Keeshonden since 1977 and began breeding them by 2001.
The breeding program at Aristokees promotes health, soundness and temperament. Being in the medical profession has given me the added knowledge to deal with Veterinarians and the added expertise in promoting the health of this breed. As a result of this my dogs are never left at the Vet Clinic by themselves – if any kind of surgery is required I am there when they are put to sleep, while they are asleep and when they wake up.
The breeding dogs and bitches are all PHPT negative or negative by descent and have their health checks done including: Hips, Thyroid, PHPT and CERF.
In 2010 Ch. Aristokees Colours O’ The Wind (Brandi) had four offspring attain their Canadian Championships and thus was awarded Brood Bitch of the year by the Keeshond Club of Canada.
